The Dara Cooper Food Sovereignty Farm
Honoring the incredibly visionary Dara Cooper—a waymaker, convener and champion of Black food sovereignty—the Dara Cooper Food Sovereignty Farm is not merely a farm, but a living, breathing declaration of liberation. Rooted in her life’s work to reclaim land, restore dignity, and rebuild systems of care, this sacred ground stands as both altar and action. Dara forged pathways where none existed, organizing with relentless love to ensure Black farmers not only survive but thrive as rightful stewards of the soil. Guests can visit the farm, shaped by her revolutionary vision, and convene, sow seeds and harvest in a space where movement meets land, where sunflowers rise like sentinels of resilience, and water flows in remembrance of those who toiled before us.
