Lisa Latocha and the People of the Standing Stone
The same 100 acres returned to the North American Indigenous Center (NAIC) accepted by Lisa Latocha in leadership—as a bearer of truth, a bridge between worlds, and a fierce protector of her people—the People of the Standing Stone, the Oneida Nation. With a spirit forged in ceremony and struggle, this land is returned to the People of the Standing Stone who walk in the footsteps of their matriarchs and earthkeepers, carrying forward a lineage rooted in reciprocity, sovereignty, and sacred duty. Lisa does not just remember the old ways—she revives them. She is stone and flame, grounded in ancestral memory and ignited by the urgency of now.
This space will offer sanctuaries of cultural resurgence and collective healing. Returned by Farah Tanis, Founder and CEO of Restore Foward and The Reconciliation Center deploying the ancient laws and cosmologies of her African ancestors to honor the spirit of Oneida cosmology and earth-based knowing. These grounds invite us to remember the ancient agreements between humans, land, and sky, remember our prayers and protection, waterways and lifelines, carrying stories and medicine through time.
