Healing Communities
What We Do
We create spaces for healing to exist and where radical reconciliation is practiced at the individual, relational, communal and societal levels. From healing individual traumas to practicing interpersonal reconciliation, from retreats and immersion programs to art, spirituality and the cultural preservation of our mother tongue and origins, we claim this cultural need for reconciliation. We’re offering space for alignment and symmetry, for all that we have wrought in ourselves, our families, our communities, and our Earth.
Nature Therapy
We engage in healing by centering Earth, with the Earth as a resource, countering a mental health paradigm currently informed by values rooted in patriarchy, capitalism and white supremacy, and offer a variety of traditional, non-traditional and holistic healing and restorative practices. We invite healers, peace practitioners, activists and community builders to integrate earth healing, farming and the land as containers for processing and addressing past and present trauma, and for pathways to emotional and spiritual balance.

Liberatory Healing Practice
We’ve developed liberatory models using a combination of liberation psychology, ecopsychology, pedagogies of tenderness, in order to offer a clear alternative to the current architecture of injustice. We’re creating spaces for healing to exist and where radical reconciliation is practiced at the individual, relational, communal and societal levels. We’re holding weekly group counseling sessions and providing individual counseling in person and via telehealth. We’re providing holistic healing programs that invite individuals into what it means to feel and heal within our historical, cultural and political context and reveal what is possible in our lives and relationships when we begin to show up as our full selves and be more embodied.
Healing Retreats and Immersion Programs
We’re implementing restoration programs and activities focused on individual human rights with healing, dialogue, community support, involvement, therapy and inclusion, mending the breakdown of society and in particular, the human relationships (and gifts) that are lost through violence.
Animal Assisted Therapies
We’re connecting trauma survivors to animal-assisted intervention to improve a survivor’s social, emotional, or cognitive functioning. Animal-assisted therapy is an alternative or complementary type of therapy that includes the use of animals in a treatment.

Restorative Practices
We’re helping people to strengthen relationships, build community, and prevent conflict. We build and train restorative communities to work together to try to repair the harm caused, and collaboratively find ways to make things right. Based on principles of fairness, respect, honesty and community problem-solving, restorative practices include Restorative Justice, a process in which harm-doers and those harmed meet to increase understanding and develop collaborative solutions to repair harm caused.
